PageUp has provided more than a talent management solution for the University of Wisconsin – Platteville. Its Applicant Tracking System (ATS) has introduced greater efficiencies in day-to-day processes, allowing the University to fully utiliseutilize the system to its advantage. For Talent Management Coordinator Tara Rucker, the convenient, flexible and friendly PageUp service has made a fundamental difference to her organisationorganization’s recruitment processes.
One-stop shop
Having everything housed in one place is one of the many benefits of using PageUp’s ATS. It helps reduce paperwork and tedious manual processes. “Our institution loves PageUp. It’s become a one-stop shop for them. They can see their position descriptions, they can see their applications, they can see how far in the recruitment process they are,” says Rucker. “Before PageUp, it was scattered all over the place. Some might’ve been paper-based, and some were in a few different systems. So it was hard to track a lot of information prior to PageUp.”
Greater tracking
Rucker’s entire team have embraced PageUp’s Applicant Tracking System. It now allows them to track key parts of the recruitment process – something they were unable to do before. “Our team really likes using the PageUp system. It gives us a lot more flexibility and we are able to keep track of the position descriptions that come in and the postings that are going out.”
The team have noticed greater consistencies in the overall process – from recruiting to hiring. “We have experienced a lot more consistency throughout our recruitment and our hires. We have been able to bring on new hires in a more timely fashion, and we’re able to track more information, which we were never able to track prior to PageUp,” says Rucker.
Intelligent features
PageUp’s ATS has many great features, which empowers Rucker to complete administrative tasks with ease. “My favorite feature of PageUp is the reporting. I say that because I’ve worked in a few other Applicant Tracking Systems, and the reporting feature in PageUp is very user-friendly. They have report builders. You can schedule reports to go out and you can even place reports on the dashboards for managers to view.”
‘Can-do’ attitude
It’s important for a talent management provider to understand an organisationorganization’s needs and provide smart solutions. Rucker has found the PageUp team very responsive and positive in their problem-solving approaches. “It’s wonderful working with the PageUp team. It’s very refreshing. I’ve never heard them say, ‘you can’t do this’. It’s always, ‘Ok, let’s figure out how we can do that’. And they understand that we are a unique institution, we’re not like any other campus. We still need to get things done, we still need to do it in an appropriate manner.”
A friendly partnership
Rucker says her working relationship with PageUp and the Technical Account Managers has even fostered friendships. “It’s morphed into a friendship, because we have so much in common. And when we do our bi-weekly calls, we get our work done, we go over our questions, and we end up talking about life. We’ve developed a working relationship with a friendship.”
